Il segreto per imparare tutti i 3000 verbi frasali più utili non è memorizzarli, ma piuttosto saper riconoscere i 38 verbi non trasparenti (quelli che creano significati oscuri) e capire perché viene utilizzata ognuna delle 47 particelle.

Quindi vai avanti (to go forward, verbo frasale) quest’anno, invece di tornare indietro (to go back, verbo frasale) e iscriviti (to sign up, verbo frasale) ad un corso per riprendere (to get back into, verbo frasale) il tuo inglese nel modo più semplice.

Autumn is back, so we’re re slowly getting back into the swing of going back to work and school after the holidays “Go back” is a phrasal verb – a phrasal verb is a verb + a particle, the particle is an adverb or a preposition (or both), -with often times an object to boot and of course-, the meaning is often obscure.
When a person is a little obscure it makes them somewhat intriguing, when a verb is obscure it makes it, well, incomprehensible.

As any intermediate student of English knows there are about 5000 phrasal verbs in the English language of which, luckily, only 3000 are in everyday use.
